Ashley brings to the Bar a substantial depth of practical experience developed since her admission as a solicitor in 2007, together with specialist expertise in parenting, property and complex family law disputes.

Ashley is a skilled negotiator, with extensive experience assisting parties negotiate agreements, including as mediator and representing parties at mediation.

Ashley worked almost exclusively in family law during her career as a solicitor, with early experience in Wills and Estates and Local Court matters.   Ashley was recognised by Doyle’s Guide to the Legal Profession 2026 as one of the Leading Family & Divorce Lawyers in Newcastle, Hunter Valley & Central Coast.

Prior to commencing practice as a barrister, Ashley was the Principal Solicitor and Director of a boutique family law firm in Newcastle, where she developed a reputation for providing strategic, commercially focused and compassionate representation to clients navigating complex family law proceedings.  Ashley was also a trained independent children’s lawyer.
